How we get paid
FundFind operates on contingency — you pay nothing out of pocket. We absorb the research, filing, and legal costs. Our 25% fee only applies on funds we successfully recover for you.
Fee structure
Low-balance
30% contingency fee
For claims under $10,000. Higher percentage reflects the fixed cost of every file, regardless of size.
Example: $5,000 recovery
No upfront cost, no recovery — no fee.
Standard
25% contingency fee
Our default tier for $10,000+ claims. The standard rate across every other recovery company — we just do the work for less.
Example: $50,000 recovery
Calculated on gross disbursed — no add-on fees.
Probate
35% contingency fee
Higher fee covers probate court filings and heir research. Accepted on a case-by-case basis — not every probate file is a fit.
Example: $80,000 estate
Includes petition drafting and heir-notice coordination.
Common questions
No. FundFind operates strictly on contingency — there is no retainer, filing fee charged to you, or hourly billing. We absorb the research, filing, and legal costs up front. You only pay if we successfully recover funds.
You owe us nothing. Any costs we incurred researching, filing, or pursuing your claim are absorbed by FundFind. The risk is on us — if we don't win, we don't get paid.
The 25% is calculated on the gross amount disbursed to you by the county, before any unusual third-party costs (court costs, lien payoffs, title fees). On a $50,000 recovery under our Standard tier, that means $37,500 net to you and $12,500 to FundFind. There are no add-on percentages, success bonuses, or hidden charges.
Yes. Probate surplus claims go through estate court rather than individual owner filings, involve heir-tracing and notice work, and require additional legal coordination. Because of that additional work, probate claims are billed at 35% and accepted on a case-by-case basis — not every probate file is one we take on.
